Frequently Asked Questions

Are all Pagans polytheists

Paganism is a group of widely varied religions, and different groups have different views on the importance (or even the existence) of gods and goddesses.   Some groups may indeed worship multiple gods and goddesses, and so would fit into the definition of "polytheistic."  Other groups may focus solely on the goddess (occasionally in multiple forms) or on particular ancient deities.  Still other Pagans would consider themselves non-theistic, and may or may not use deities as symbolic representations of natural principles.
