Today is International Women’s Day.
This day begs the question, what is a woman?
The Current War on Women
In our current culture, a “woman” is anyone who identifies as such, regardless of biology. So, a biological male who thinks he is a woman is one through sheer force of will. Does this force of will effect a true substantial change in this biological male to morph into a female? No. Biologically, this male remains a male, regardless. Furthermore, when this biological male passes on and is discovered by future archeologist and scientifically examined, these archeologists will identity this person as male.
Author JK Rowling recently came under attack for her response to Labor Equalities Shadow Minister Annalise Dodds’ inability to define the word “woman.”

JK Rowling Continued Stand
Rowling used her singular wit to illustrate the point perfectly (and in turn also references her popular work Harry Potter). In our world today, women have lost their uniqueness and in turn their private spaces. This latter fact concerns Rowling and others the most. As a sexual assault survivor, Rowling does not wish to share her private spaces with biological males. By private space, I mean restrooms, dressing rooms, and locker rooms. Therefore, by redefining the word “woman,” these spaces open to biological males. So, a biological woman can now see nude biological males in their locker rooms (and vise versa) regardless of age or preference because this biological male identifies as a woman.
The Proper Definition of Woman
Moreover, as a father of daughters, I too have an issue with this redefinition of “woman.” I do not want my daughers in a private space with biological males, regardless of how they identify. My daughters do not need to see that. They need to feel safe in their private spaces with other biological females. This brings us back to the definition of “woman.”
The definition of “woman” is simple:
an adult female human being.
Happy International Women’s Day!
