Was the 2020 election fair? Were both candidates given the same opportunity to win? No. One side held an unfair advantage, an advantage set in motion by America’s elite.
Now, I do not think there was rampant voter fraud. I also DO NOT support whatever happened at the capital on January 6th. Full discloser, I did vote for Donald Trump in 2016 and 2020. I did so because the alternatives (Hilary Clinton in 2016 and Joe Biden in 2020) were by far the greater of two evils. Trump’s economic policies and consistent track record on Pro-Life issues (and judiciary appointments) while in office reinforced to me that I made the right choice. Furthermore, the current state of the world and the vulnerable state of the US economy proves the presidency of Joe Biden a disaster, and we are still in year ONE!
Oh, and let’s not forget that Roe Vs. Wade may well be overturned in mid-2022. Trump’s Supreme Court appointments made it possible. The Trump presidency may well save countless unborn lives. As a Catholic, this fact matters a great deal to me.
A Conspiracy of Record
Back to the 2020 election…You may be asking yourself, “what secret and nefarious plan did The Latin Right uncover to show the 2020 election was unfair?” First, it was nefarious. Second, it was no secret. In fact, all the information I share from here on out is from an article published in Time (after the deed was done, of course…) in February 2021. The title of the article, The Secret History of the Shadow Campaign That Saved the 2020 Election. I mean, come on, man! You must admire the way Time spun what was the single most concerted effort of electoral manipulation in American history. Moreover, in the guise of “saving” the 2020 election, those who held power and control over communication (Big Tech and Big Media) conspired to manipulate the public and ensure a Biden victory. Want proof?
From the Time article:
That’s why the participants want the secret history of the 2020 election told, even though it sounds like a paranoid fever dream–a well-funded cabal of powerful people, ranging across industries and ideologies, working together behind the scenes to influence perceptions, change rules and laws, steer media coverage and control the flow of information. They were not rigging the election; they were fortifying it. And they believe the public needs to understand the system’s fragility in order to ensure that democracy in America endures.
Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro often calls this “saying the silent part out loud.” Allow me to translate.
Working together behind the scenes to influence perceptions [in favor of Joe Biden and to demonize Trump], change rules and laws [to favor Democrat voters], steer media coverage and control the flow of information [in favor of Biden and against Trump]. They were not rigging the election; they were fortifying [rigging] it. (Text in brackets represent my translation.)
Right up front, this article tells of a secret cabal of powerful people changing election laws and rules, steering media coverage in one direction, and controlling all flow of information. All to “ensure” American democracy? And we fell for it…
The Architect and Actors
The article goes on to identify the architect of this supposed “bi-partisan” attempt to “save” democracy as Democratic strategist and AFL-CIO president Mike Podhorzer. This information is important, as the Time article wants us to believe that this obviously partisan electoral manipulation was in fact “bi-partisan” or “non-partisan” when it was not. Next, Podhorzer joined forces with the Democracy Defense Coalition, a coalition of liberal activists. Remember, this is a “bi-partisan” attempt to save the election.
Who completed the initial think tank to “save” the 2020 election? Well…
The labor movement; the institutional left, like Planned Parenthood and Greenpeace; resistance groups like Indivisible and MoveOn; progressive data geeks and strategists, representatives of donors and foundations, state-level grassroots organizers, racial-justice activists and others.
Again, in the introduction of Time’s article, they paint a bleak picture of Trump’s threats to democracy and the “bi-partisan” plan to thwart it. Why, up to this point in the conspiracy, are all involved only firmly on the Left?
“Disinformation” and Big Tech
What is “disinformation?” Who decides whether information is true or false? What information is allowed in the “marketplace of ideas?” In 2020, Facebook and Twitter were the main gatekeepers that determined the scope of disinformation. How and why did they assume this role? Pressure from the cabal, of course. One of whom is now Associate Attorney General, Vanita Gupta.
In November 2019, Mark Zuckerberg invited nine civil rights leaders to dinner at his home, where they warned him about the danger of the election-related falsehoods that were already spreading unchecked. “It took pushing, urging, conversations, brainstorming, all of that to get to a place where we ended up with more rigorous rules and enforcement,” says Vanita Gupta, president and CEO of the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, who attended the dinner and also met with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and others. (Gupta has been nominated for Associate Attorney General by President Biden.) “It was a struggle, but we got to the point where they understood the problem. Was it enough? Probably not. Was it later than we wanted? Yes. But it was really important, given the level of official disinformation, that they had those rules in place and were tagging things and taking them down.” [Emphasis added]
Remember Facebook and Twitter’s crackdown on “disinformation?” The organized effort to control “disinformation” also shows the organized effort to manipulate the 2020 election, and thereby unfairly enable Joe Biden’s campaign for president. Enter Hunter Biden’s laptop.
Hunter Biden’s Laptop: Suppression vs. Disinformation
In October of 2020, the New York Post published a story about Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, that painted the future president’s son in a bad light, while also substantiating claims that Hunter profited from his father’s name, a claim Joe Biden denied. A group of former intelligence officers quickly issued a joint letter claiming the laptop story an attempt at Russian “disinformation.” The New York Times followed suit with the “misinformation” narrative, as did most of Big Media (CNN, MSNBC, and CBS). Big Tech sprung into action, too. Twitter immediately suspended the New York Post Twitter account for two weeks. Facebook also added the story to their algorithm to suppress it. To paraphrase the Weasley twins from Harry Potter, “misinformation managed!” But wait…
On March 16, 2022, The New York Times admitted the information in the New York Post story as true.
“People familiar with the investigation said prosecutors had examined emails between Mr. Biden, Mr. Archer and others about Burisma and other foreign business activity. Those emails were obtained by The New York Times from a cache of files that appears to have come from a laptop abandoned by Mr. Biden in a Delaware repair shop. The email and others in the cache were authenticated by people familiar with them and with the investigation.” (Emphasis added.)
Why Hunter’s Mischief was Managed
In 2016, Hillary Clinton appeared to a presidential lock. All polling indicated an easy Clinton victory—then there were emails. Eleven days before the election, the FBI opened an investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email account to access classified information. This was not a good look for a presidential candidate. Many thought it cost Clinton the election. NPR even published an article placing blame of Big Tech (and Facebook) for their inability to properly address the email scandal, among other issues with social media. Certainly, the Clinton email topic was discussed at the November Zuckerberg meeting. Big Tech learned its lesson and they fell in line. They would not contribute to another Democrat loss, therefore, the Hunter Biden laptop story was “misinformation,” at least until Joe Biden was president. “Mischief managed!”
Misinformation vs. Manipulation: Election 2020
To have a fair and honest election, all involved need to act fairly and honestly. The Time article states again and again the cabal “saved” democracy from Donald Trump. It states Trump was greatly concerned with the legitimacy of the 2020 election and that there was a conspiracy in motion to make sure he did not win a second term. The article uses the concerns of Trump as the reason for the actual conspiracy in the first place. To save democracy from Donald Trump, Democrat strategists, Big Media, and Big Tech worked together to manipulate the American people in favor of Joe Biden, while at the same time smearing Donald Trump. Big Tech then used its power over communication as damage control when the Hunter Biden story broke just before the election.
The Future of “Fair” Elections: a Reckoning For Big Tech, Big Media, and the Politicians They Spin For
Would Trump have won in 2020 if the American people were not manipulated by the most powerful people in the country? Personally, I think he would have. No, the election was not stolen in the sense that dead people voted or that Republican votes were not counted. I am no conspiracy theorist. But when a respected publication like Time “says the silent parts out loud,” I notice and call B.S.
The action taken by this cabal to “save the patient” (democracy) may well have killed it, if not severely injured it. We shall see in 2022 mid-terms and 2024 presidential elections. Will Big Tech and Big Media account for their manipulation of the American people? If Republicans gain the House and Senate, the day of reckoning may come.
As for the rest of us, will we let them fool us again?
