Perhaps George Stephanopoulos’s wife revealed too much when she went on The View and aired their daughters’ fears since the election of Donald Trump.
But that’s just what Ali Wentworth did when she informed all of America that her 11-year-old is so afraid of ISIS that she sleeps with them every night. Or that her 14-year-old was so crushed on election night that when Trump won, she frantically screamed, “No abortions!”
Is this how liberal parenting is done?
Wentworth said, “I have an eleven-year-old daughter who doesn’t really understand what ISIS is but she knows that she is scared and she’s now sleeping in bed with us every night.”
Co-host Whoopi Goldberg prodded Wentworth for advice for other parents whose kids might be frightened to face a world where Donald Trump is president, but what came out really explains why it must be hard to grow up in the Stephanopoulos household:
“I say two things… one is, we help out everybody in this country that is really going to need our help. Whatever, whatever, in organization, you know, we give, we volunteer, we help out.”
Huh? That’s the best she can do to comfort her children?
But it was her older daughter who took the election the hardest. Wentworth hesitated to tell on her teenager because “it might be the end of [her] marriage” if she did. Of course, she did it anyway because she just HAD to:
“It just involves my fourteen-year-old getting upset about the election and screaming ‘no abortions’ really loudly and I was like, you haven’t kissed a boy yet, don’t use that word so flippantly.”
