Item No. 1: “Bible prophecy” broadcaster warns “Islamic males are … walking down the streets” of America

End Times broadcaster Jan Markell is very worried about something: “Islamic males” walking down streets…in America!

In an interview yesterday with the American Family Association’s Tim Wildmon on his “Today’s Issues” program, Markell said that while she doesn’t “want to scare people, apparently, Islamic males are kind of walking down some of the main streets of some of our cities.”

“They’re simply intimidating Americans,” she said. “Nothing has happened at this point but they seem to be taunting Americans, taking pictures of buildings and things like that. I have some eyewitnesses to that.”

Markell insisted while she isn’t “trying to blow it out of proportion, but I just think we have an enemy within and we need to be aware.”

Item No. 2: White mob beats Temple student for speaking Arabic

A Moroccan immigrant to Philadelphia was brutally attacked over the weekend in Center City just for speaking his native tongue, he claims.

Amine Aouam, 34, who is Muslim, said Tuesday while still shaky from the attack that he believes he was the victim of an anti-Arab or anti-Mulism hate crime.

“You think that would happen if I was speaking French or German? I don’t,” he said. “It was obviously a hate crime.”

Aouam works as a valet at the Bellevue Hotel, and is also a full-time student at Temple studying finance. Now he’s missing work and school as he goes to follow-up CAT scans and MRIs while his pain slowly recedes — but the worst pain is psychological, he said.

“To be honest, the only bad thing that happened to me in this case is my heart is so broken now,” he said. “They hate you because you talk something that they heard before and they don’t like it.”

The attack occurred after Aouam and a friend went out for a drink after work on Saturday night.

Around midnight, turning from Broad Street onto Sansom, they encountered a group of five or six white people. One woman in the group would not stop staring at them as they spoke in the Moroccan dialect of Arabic, which in and of itself is not entirely unusual, so Aouam greeted her.

“I said to her in Arabic, ‘Good evening,’ which is ‘Masaa al-Khair.’ She said ‘What?’ and I said, ‘I just said ‘Good evening.’ Then I walked. And the guy next to her was like ‘Stop this s—!’”

Aouam’s friend, Youssef Amarouch, remembers it a bit more clearly. “Take that s— you said and shove it up in your a–,” he recalled the man saying.

The last thing Aouam remembers is trying to explain that he had only said a greeting — then he was waking up hours later at Jefferson University Hospital.

Item No. 3: “If you’re a Muslim you follow Satan!” Trump supporter screams at student in MLK shirt

Kiernan Majerus-Collins, who attends Bates College, went to a Trump rally at Concord High School wearing a shirt with Martin Luther King Jr. on the front and “I Have A Dream” written on the back. After the rally, he got into a heated discussion outside with one man over Muslims.

“Most Muslims are good people,” Majerus-Collins said, pointing to the Muslim-Americans who serve in the U.S. military.

“A moderate Muslim is someone who stands by the side when somebody else chops somebody else’s head off and doesn’t do anything,” the man replies.

Video of the confrontation shows the Trump supporter yelling things like “If you’re a Muslim, you follow Satan!” and “300 million of them out there trying to kill people.”

Item No. 4: Marco Rubio buys a gun on Christmas Eve to defend his family from ISIS

Mujibur Rahman said … two people believed to be teenagers attacked him early Friday evening while he was walking his 9-year-old niece home from her Bronx school.”They said ISIS, ISIS and they started to hit me,” Rahman said. Those terrifying moments left him bruised and battered, his eye still swollen from the beating he endured.

His niece, physically unhurt, is now afraid to go outside.

“She could not sleep at night,” the victim said. “She said she didn’t want to go back to school anymore. Really in fear.”

Rahman is from Bangladesh and was wearing traditional Muslim garb when his attackers approached him from behind.

Item No. 6: “‘Super intoxicated’ Montana cop shoves his gun in Asian man’s face for being ‘an ISIS’”

A sheriff’s deputy with Lewis and Clark County was arrested … after allegedly pulling a gun on a man at a party and assaulting him.

Philip Jay Clark, 49, showed up to a bonfire party “super intoxicated,” according to the victim, identified as C.F. in court documents.

… According to court records, Clark began hitting C.F. before asking him to name the capital of Thailand and punched him in the groin, yelling “Bangkok.” … As C.F.’s friend was telling him that it would probably be a good idea for him to leave, Clark became aggressive once again. He then pulled out his pistol, with his finger on the trigger, shoved it in C.F’s face and began referring to his non-Muslim Asian victim as “an ISIS.”

This is just a hasty, random assortment of recent news items illustrating the ongoing wave of brute stupidity and hatred toward Muslim people here in America. This is something that should be opposed by any respectable educational institution. This is something that should be opposed by any follower of Jesus Christ. This is something that should be opposed by any minimally decent person who is not a fool or an asshole.

And yet, Wheaton College administrators have chosen to feed this wave of stupidity and hatred, rather than to oppose it. And when one of its professors met her obligation as an educator, as a Christian, and as a human being, to speak up on behalf of those being targeted by ignorance and hate, Wheaton swiftly stepped in to punish that professor — moving to fire her and to ensure that other professors don’t follow her example.
