When religion is preeminently formed over an ongoing relational experience with God, it will only produce a dualistic mindset that settles on moralism, belief systems, and explanations. Jesus did not come to change the mind of God about humanity, Jesus came to change the mind of humanity about God. God desires that our foundations remain centered on Him alone, in the love and freedom that only God’s love can bring. He desires mercy and not sacrifice and a divine union with Him that is supernatural and interfaces the natural and practical happenings in our lives. The world does not need any more top down theories, what the world needs is mercy, and the discovery of Love that changes them from the bottom up.
