This week I welcome a guest blogger named  Dani’El Garvin. He is a Miq’Maq Elder, missionary, conference speaker and good friend. He has written many books. He has some very enlightening thoughts on the significance of the two trees in the Garden of Eden. He goes into more detail on this subject in his book Paradise Restored.

Dani’El Garvin is a Miq’Maq Elder and author.

In the book of Genesis, the two trees are described as the “Tree of Life” and the “Tree of the knowledge of good and evil. (Mixture)” In the book of Revelation, it defines the “Tree of Life” as our second Adam Yahshua. Yahshua, Christ’s real Hebraic name, means “Yahweh is salvation,” which has more of a sense of Deity than the catholic title “Jesus” from Yesu, which could be any Greek god. This “Tree of Life” is the only one standing at the end of time, and it yields twelve fruits. I believe these to be the nine fruits of the Spirit, spiritual wisdom, which in Proverbs is defined as the “Tree of Life,” healing which flows from beneath this tree for the healing of the nations, and Eternal life.

In contrast, the “Tree of mixture” becomes the place of Satan’s rebellion against our Creator, where Satan and 1/3 of the fallen angels set up their domain. Here we observe their attempt at enthroning Satan by mixing good and evil together. This is like taking a pure glass of milk and mixing it with sludge. The deception that Eve believed was that if she joined this rebellion, she would be as the gods. This deception has flowed down through the ages and is known as the “God within.” I say “God help the world if I am God!” There is only one God who has at least 365 descriptive names showing each facet of His being, i.e. “Abba” for father. My chief has written a book on each of them. Each has a definition, musical notes, a number, and a facet description. His book is called The Glorious Names of God by Suuqiina and his wife Qaumaniq.

True believers eat from the “Tree of Life” and are connected intimately with Yahshua by accepting His redemptive sacrifice on the cross which abolished death and sin, and the curse of the fall, bringing us back to what was lost in Eden’s paradise. Yahshua told the repentant thief on the cross, “Today, you will be with me in paradise.” This means that paradise was restored by Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. Now we can feast on the fruit produced by the “Tree of Life,” and have available to us all that Adam and Eve had before the fall. In my book, Paradise Restored, I expand on that.

For now, let’s follow the degenerative history of the “Tree of Mixture.” When Adam and Eve were expelled from the garden, they went from being clothed in light and glory as spirit beings and transitioned into living in the curse of human frailties and suffering. Even the land was cursed as they were to eke out a living by the sweat of their brows. Some writings describe them as being suicidal, as they couldn’t handle the contrast. Eventually, they reproduced Cain and Able as children. Cain was rebellious and jealous of his righteous brother Able who was accepted by God. To solve his problem he in rebellion murdered Able, and even the earth cried out with his blood. This was the fruit of the “Tree of Mixture.”

One definition of Cain’s name is “To acquire,” and usually by murder, wars, and force. Today we see this in our world in the attempt to gain riches by raping of our precious resources, pollution, and outright robbery and murder. Wars are started over a desire to possess other’s lands and gold. My indigenous culture has experienced mass genocide, forced removal from ancient lands, forced assimilation in catholic boarding schools, eugenic castrations and smallpox embedded blankets, all done in the name of Jesus. Scripture describes Satan using trade and acquiring to control the nations of the earth.

The “Tree of Mixture also produced a religious system of Satanic worship to connect with him as the “Universal Force.” When his angels were expelled with him to earth, they had sex with women who produced giants and mythological creatures. They were called “Nephilim.” Later they were called “Raphaim.” Many were destroyed by the flood, but somehow one of them “Og” king of Bashan survived, perhaps in an underground air chamber, to eventually produce David’s Goliath. After the flood a Raphaim named Nimrod, a mighty hunter, built a tower with united mankind to construct a sort of stargate to connect with the life force of the universe and assault the throne of God. Out of this flowed a religious center in Babylon which created the worship of the fertility goddess Ishtar. Then they created the worship of Baal and Ashtoreth, which flowed into the goddess Isis of Egypt, the goddess Diana of the Ephesians, and other mother/child sexual cults, including Mary becoming the queen of heaven in the counterfeit catholic church. (See my book “Transformation of the Church”) This all flowed out from the “Tree of Mixture.” In Revelation 18 we are admonished to “Come out of Babylon lest we partake of her sins and plagues.” This counterfeit form of Christianity claimed to be the new Israel and became infested with pagan Babylonian roots. An example of this was the changing of the date of the resurrection to correspond with the worship of Ishtar where children were sacrificed to Moloch and the blood used to dye eggs on what is now called Easter, or Ishtar day.

Today we see this “Mixture” worldwide with yin and yang, holy yoga, Chrislam (the joining Christianity with Islam), prosperity TV evangelists, and in other world religions like Hinduism and Buddhism. Added to this are all the “New age” spirituality varieties from Reiki healing circles to mindfulness meditation. I once attended a church that called for the worship of the “Goddess” alongside worshiping God.

The hardcore version of the “Tree of Mixture” is out and out Satan worship with human sacrifice and self-flagellation, in order to atone for sin by self-punishment. In Singapore, they have ceremonies where they stick large needles into their bodies, to atone for personal sin. In the Philippines, they impale themselves on crosses yearly for atonement. The catholic church came up with a similar system of self-punishment to release one from sin. The ascetic movement had members sleeping on beds of nails and nuns wearing punishing chains under their habits.  My Native culture tells of the evil snake people and giant mound builders who built great structures to attempt to connect with sun gods and the “Lifeforce” of the universe. The turtle tribes came out of this evil culture with the help of a prophet, healer, God/man, who was born of a virgin who appeared to them. Today we see child/sex trafficking and child sacrifice cropping up everywhere. Even the abortion industry has these overtones. When you combine the curse of Cain with the paganism of Babylon, you have what is known as the “Cabala” which describes the forces of evil in the world today, which is in opposition to the light.

One has to decide which tree they want to feed their life from. It’s a matter of choosing light or darkness, the love of Father God, or the control of the rebellious one who promises power, but has no real authority.
