Before I begin this blog, I wish to state once again for the record, in my eyes, Jesus was/is a savior! That said, I feel I must also state for the record, I unequivocally reject the notion or belief that Jesus died for my sins and that simply holding such a belief will insure my or anyone’s salvation. To me, this erroneous idea originated from either a lack of understanding or a desire to conceal the true teachings of Christ. Even Jesus himself spoke of the recklessness of following this false school of thought.
Matthew 7:21-30: Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will go into the holy nation of heaven. The one who does the things My Father in heaven wants him to do will go into the holy nation of heaven. Many people will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not preach in Your Name? Did we not put out demons in Your Name? Did we not do many powerful works in Your Name?’ Then I will say to them in plain words, ‘I never knew you. Go away from Me, you who do wrong!’
In Prophet or Madman I declared God has told me that my primary purpose in this world is to explain and clarify the message of Christ. Having lived with the belief that we are all responsible for how we interact with each other, my first response to God was, are you crazy? Who am I that anyone would believe that I have a better understanding than those who have been teaching the message of Christ for over two thousand years?
I can honestly tell you, I did not accept this calling easily. It was only after months of prayer and meditation that I convinced myself to accept it was true. Once I convinced myself to go against my fear of challenging the established power of influence I grew up with, I told God I needed understanding before I could move forward.
It was once written, “ask and you shall receive.” For me, I found out how true that tenet is. After I decided to accept the call and do the will of Our Father in heaven, I was gifted with an overview of creation that opened my eyes to the infinite experience of our spiritual lives. It was then that I realized that Christ likened to other masters, was here not to create a religion for control but rather to teach understanding of agape love that leads to spiritual awakening. By spiritual awakening, I mean an internal shift takes place and our experience of everything and everyone takes on a new meaning. Although you may find yourself in the same world and surrounded by the same people the meaning of Life along with your relationships, shifts from me and mine to a Universal Spiritual Oneness. In other words you wake up to REALITY!
To get an example of what I am talking about I have included the following passage from the Gospel of Thomas:
Jesus said, “The shadows of this world are perceived by mortals, and they think they know Truth, but the Reality which casts the shadows is hidden from them, and they do not perceive the Light. I tell you the truth when I say that only when you perceive shadows as shadows, and search the Light, will you perceive the Reality which is God.”
The belief that Jesus coming here and dying on the cross will somehow cause you to circumvent the effects of your thoughts, beliefs and actions in this life or the afterlife, is a grievous misunderstanding. On the other hand, anyone who understands enough to emulate Christ and lives in the vibration of Unconditional Love (through total non judgment), will in fact go through a transformative experience and become reborn (awakened) to their pure infinite Spirit.
In closing, I wish to state one last thing for the record. In no way did I set out to offend or challenge anyone’s beliefs but rather to offer another way of seeing in hopes that perhaps some eyes might open to seeing what they previously could not. As Einstein once said, “You can not correct a problem with the same mind set that created the problem.”
Without true understanding there can be no change/awakening and why Jesus warned, “If the blind follow the blind they all fall into the same ditch.”
For those who have read The Gospel of Thomas, you may recall it starts off with Jesus speaking of the importance of understanding and how understanding is the key to awakening/rebirthing.
1. And he said, “Whoever discovers the interpretation of these sayings will not taste death.”
2. Jesus said, “Those who seek should not stop seeking until they find. When they find, they will be disturbed. When they are disturbed, they will marvel, and will reign over all. [And after they have reigned they will rest.]”
3. Jesus said, “If your leaders say to you, ‘Look, the (Father’s) kingdom is in the sky,’ then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, ‘It is in the sea,’ then the fish will precede you. Rather, the (Father’s) kingdom is within you and it is outside you.
Whether you agree or disagree with what you just read I wish to say two more things, the first is Namaste’ (that which is divine within me recognizes and honors that which is divine within you) and lastly,
Merry Christmas!
Regardless of your path or what religion you practice, if you wish to awaken yourself and live awakened in this world you may find yourself reinterpreting your view of reality itself!
More to come…
Love and Light,
Brother Bruce
