Gerard A. Murphy is a former (Irish-born) priest of the Catholic Diocese of Oakland, CA. He now lives in Abingdon, VA and works as an online language tutor and freelance writer.
He is a lifelong learner of what it means to live a truly human and authentic life in a paradigm-shifting world of immense possibilities. Consequently, the articles he writes for this blog are aimed at the discerning reader who wishes to critically examine cultural trends, and the spiritual and ethical implications therein.
His debut book, Do It Anyway: Deep Spirituality Meets Real Life, was published by Patheos Press in May 2017.
He holds Honors Degrees in English Literature, Theology & Anthropology, and a teaching credential from the National University of Ireland.
