I have long been interested in the development of Enso Village.
If you’re not familiar with it, the San Francisco Zen Center in partnership with Kendal Corp (a Quaker-based nonprofit senior living community developer) has been deeply involved in creating what can be called a new paradigm for aging – a Zen-Inspired Senior Living Community. That’s Enso Village. It will be opening in summer of 2023 in Healdsburg, CA.
It has met with considerable success, and is in fact now nearly sold out.
However, a suitable property for a second project has come open in the Simi Valley, just above Los Angeles.
I am deeply interested in this project and I am trying to help out in getting the word to those who might find this something that would be suitable for them, you? Sadly, like all continuing care communities, it’s expensive. But, if your circumstances allow, and you want that last phase to be aligned with people informed by the dharma, but within an interfaith context, a place that includes a meditation hall, well…
They’re now trying to determine serious interest. And need input about the suitability of this potential second site in Southern California.
