Co-host Jack and I sat down with Patheos blogger Martin Hughes to discuss his recent blog post The Amazing Atheist’s Racism. Martin’s post was in response to The Amazing Atheist’s video titled 20 Answers for Black People. After Martin published his article, The Amazing Atheist did a response video to that article.

Believe it or not, I think we were able to clarify a few issues and move the football down the field, so to speak.

Co-host Jack reflected on our talk with Martin over at his site, ZXH Creative. Here’s a bit of it.

I’m not going to say “Check your privilege” or “Stop whitesplaining” or anything like that, because I don’t think that kind of thing actually helps. I guess what I mean is … shunning and isolating doesn’t help. Let’s have a real conversation about this stuff.

Me? I’m going to let the conversation we had with Martin to the talking. After all, I’m just a guy who tells jokes.
