I recently had the occasion at my parents’ house to dig through some bins of my old stuff. I found toys I hadn’t seen in maybe twenty years: Transformers, Voltron, M.A.S.K. vehicles, Battle Beast and M.U.S.C.L.E. figures. DC and Marvel superhero cards–even a few hologram ones.
I showed the toys to my kids. They’ll have a chance to earn them with good behavior and unpleasant household labor.
The stuff brought back a lot of memories of growing up in California and Iowa. I’m even remembering which figures belonged to me and which belonged to my brother.
He’ll have forgotten, I hope.
So here’s this week’s question: what toys from your childhood do you most wish you had with you today?
