Choose Your Beliefs Wisely

Thoughts come and go without effort. They are like birds landing in the tree of our minds. Some are true and many are not. Most thoughts fly away, as they should, because we choose to let them go. Others stay and “nest” in our minds, because we allow them to, becoming deeply held beliefs, memes and paradigms. These are the thoughts that matter most to us, true or false, because they manifest into our perceived reality. We become what we dwell on. We see what we expect to see. We experience evidence of that which we hold in mind.

So, what do you hold in mind? Deep within, what are your subconscious beliefs? Do you know? Can you bring these concealed thoughts to your conscious mind, examine them carefully and evaluate the impact they have on your life? Take time to do this. Contemplate your tendencies. Meditate on your habits. For within each tendency and habit, there are thousands of concealed thoughts, mental viruses and flawed assumptions. This is where fear and doubt reside. This is where anxiety and guilt abide. With careful examination and mindfulness, you can release any limiting beliefs sabotaging your life experience. Seek and find these culprits and let them go. Seize your true empowerment, your power of choice. No one else can do this for you.

Take one example. What if you truly believed that you are eternal, with no beginning and no end? What if you held the thoughts in mind that you existed before you incarnated into human form as well as after, that you are a spiritual being having a temporary human experience? What if you believed that you are of God and with God always, never alone and never given a test you cannot pass? What if you accepted the belief that anything temporary is not real, including all physical form, and that the things that matter most cannot be seen with the human eye – including love, compassion, forgiveness and peace? What if you believed that there is no scarcity of what is real, that the more you give of something real, the more you have? What if you trusted that we are all one, connected through divine energy and Holy Spirit, and therefore by giving to and forgiving one another, you are giving to and forgiving yourself? What would these beliefs do for you? What would happen to any fear, doubt or guilt you held in mind? Try it and find out. Take command of your mind and free yourself of limiting beliefs. It may be the most profound and empowering thing you ever do.
