We spend much of our life trying to awaken to the simple fact of being here. Yet, how do we stay present in our heart, so we can live an authentic life? One of the surest paths is learning to listen our way into lifelong friendships with everything larger than us, with our experiences, and with each other.
This retreat, based on Mark Nepo’s new book of spiritual inquiry, is an invitation to take the exquisite risk to be fully here, to form lasting connections by listening, and to learn what it means to listen to our own life. Throughout the weekend, we explore inner courage and a devotion to deep listening as we engage three intertwined connections: the work of being, the work of being human, and the work of love.
The exquisite risk to live an awakened and authentic life is a journey that we must, ultimately, inhabit alone, but one which we can enliven together.
Helping professionals can use information learned in this workshop with their clients.
