Casa Shalom Orphanage

“Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.” James 1:27 (NLT)

As I read the Bible, I see a clear and consistent call for  all Christians to be involved in caring for orphans. For some people, this means adopting, for others it means praying or giving financially, but all of us are called to be involved in some way.

I’ve had the privilege of traveling several times to Casa Shalom (House of Peace) Orphanage in San Lucas, Guatemala. These kids have officially stolen my heart! Casa Shalom cares for around 100 children who would otherwise have no place else to go and they provide wonderful care for these kids (educationally, medically, physically, and spiritually) and they do it all without any government funding whatsoever.

I invite you to join me in partnership with this very worthy mission. Please consider sponsoring a child for $30 per month or even planning a trip to visit them in person. Having been several times, I can promise you it will be a life-changing experience! To learn more about these kids and how you can be a part of helping them, please visit their site at CasaShalom.net.

Casa Shalom Orphanage is a non-profit ministry and all donations are eligible for tax deduction (in the United States). I receive no compensation of any kind to advertise for them.  Please join me in supporting this world-changing cause.
