Love Letter 6

Love Letter 6

How could I possible not love you. You’re a man who has dedicated all of his vocational energies to eradicating pain – every kind of pain from a stubbed toe, to a crushed disc, to an interior carrying pain from trauma. Not only do you dedicate all your time to it, you have found some success. You are actually changing the way we look at pain. In know it’s slow. The world simply doesn’t move towards change very fast. The love I want to give you is the honest, real and radical hope that as each one of us expresses what is unique and beautiful within, then humanity will shift, we will evolve beyond the cycles of pain we inflict upon ourselves. It happens between us.  You know how, right? Because when you live with pain every day of your life, when you wake up sounding like a wheezing water buffalo until you can get vibration to your back, or heat, or peppermint oil, or whatever might work today – when you live with that it impacts everything else. Truth be told you can’t live with that unless you’ve got some sense that there is hope, that things can and will shift. Things have shifted you see. (Most of the time I just sound like a little puppy panting now.) You give me that hope. And you don’t just do it with your methodologies you do it by actually caring what happens to me. You don’t leave me alone in it all. Wow. And because I have that, I can offer the gift of love I am obligated to give to this world. That’s how it works.

Anyway, I just thought you should know that I love you.

Love,

Sam
