Here are seven indisputable Bible verses that disprove evolution.
Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”
Just like a painter demands the necessity for a painter, so does creation demand the necessity for a Creator, but for those who want to make “time and chance” their god, God calls them a fool thinks (Psalm 14:1). Evolution cannot explain the origin of life, it cannot prove that life spontaneously arose, and this propped up theory can only hypothesize about the origin of matter. What else would explain the beginning? Surely it’s not “time + chance = everything,” is it?
Romans 1:19-20 “For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.”
By not admitting that they know that God exists, they acknowledge that they love their sin more and they don’t want to humble themselves and so they have “exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things” (Rom 1:21). Ancient Egypt is a perfect example of this in their many gods being in the images of beasts and insects. If you’ve ever seen nature channels on TV, listen to the hushed, quite voices or magnificent music about the creatures of the world. They all but worship them, but in a sense, they really are worshiping them.
Genesis 1:26-27 “Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.”
It’s obvious that mankind has dominion over the creatures of the earth but it hasn’t turned out well at all. We have dominated and raped, pillaged, and looted nature for our own needs. In the wake of our desires to consume we’ve left stripped jungles, washed out mountains, and toxic waste sites that threaten our livelihood. Dominion is not the same thing as domination.
John 1:1-3 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.”
These verses actually go back before Genesis 1:1. They begin by stating that all that there was before the earth and the heavens existed was the Word and the Word, Jesus Christ, was God and the Word is God (John 1). To make it clear that it was before the beginning, the Apostle John writes that “All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made” and so for those who are in religions that teach Jesus was a created being or that He was only a prophet or good man, is to make God out to be a liar. If nothing was made that was not made by Him, then Jesus, as the Word, would have to include Himself, which is impossible!
Hebrews 11:3 “By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.”
We know by faith that the universe was created by the Word of God because we believe the Word of God over a hundred times it refers to God as Creator and even as the “author of life” (Acts 3:15). Colossian 1:16 says “For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him” and the Word declares that Jesus came “to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God who created all things” (Eph 3:9).
Romans 1:25 “Because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.”
Since we have read already in Romans 1, unbelievers have exchanged what is known to be true for something that is a fraud and how much more fraudulent that a theory that cannot be repeated. The best that scientists have managed to do when they added genetic information was to create mutations and sterility in species. Instead of coming up with a new species, they ruined the one they were altering.
Genesis 1:28-29 “And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food.”
God said He created them male and female and named them Adam and Eve. They were not amoebas after the amoeba kind. Adam and Eve were created in an apparent state of maturity with the capacity to choose between right and wrong and knew what was right and what was wrong. Adam and Eve were placed on a mature earth with plants already bearing food. Every kind was made “according to their kinds” (Gen 1:21) so you can believe you have evolved from primates but we are not “according to that kind” or come from the likeness of primates.
Conclusion
I cannot prove to you what is true or not about evolution because you have probably already made up your mind about it. I don’t’ care. That’s not my purpose. My purpose is only to show from Scripture the futility and uselessness this theory and how it was used in the beginning to do some very cruel things in the nature of “trimming the genetic tree” of mankind. How sad that they worshiped the genetics and judged a person’s skin color as a mark of inferiority. It may be less so now of course, but the purposelessness of life and that it’s “survival of the fittest” strips man of any dignity that He had and now unbelievers are in the image of their true father (John 8:44) who was a liar from the very beginning and has had enough time to become expert at it (John 8:45).
