You ever wonder why there’s no video of any Christians raising people from the dead? Now, I’m not saying it doesn’t happen; I’m just saying, is this not a valid question? In our modern day world of technology, where there is a camera on every phone, corner, home, computer, etc. Christians in which claim to have the spirit of God within them.
Yet, there are videos circulating exposing deceit and money hungry pastors exploiting our human vulnerabilities and deep innate desire for God and her/his supernaturalism (e.g. this guy).
Does not even Jesus say that “As you go, preach this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven is near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive our demons. Freely you have received freely give (Matt. 10:7-8)…” In the book of Acts Jesus goes on to clarify saying, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth (Acts 1:8).”
In a video I recently came across over on Facebook it claimed that a woman, Stephanie, raised a three year old boy from the dead.
I’ve only dabbled in “pseudo-pentecostal” communities that are more evangelical than they are tongue speaking pentecostals. But, this topic is triggering to many friends who have had their child hood embedded within these types of communities. While for us shondalahay jokes are laughable, for recovering pentecostals it’s nothing short of spiritually traumatic and abusive.

I don’t think that Stephanie raised this 3 year old boy from the dead with supernatural Holy Spirit filled “powers.” But, neither do I believe that medicine is a profession for those who lack faith, it’s a viable and God given ministry in which brings healing. Modern day medical advancement, It’s a miracle in and of itself.
