10. Mirchi Meat & Deli (Fremont, CA) – Mainly a butcher shop with high quality, organic as well as naturally raised halal meats, but also a Deli which serves great sandwiches. My favorite is the Pastrami with blueberry jam, peppers and cheese on a toasted french roll (or sliced sourdough bread). The roast beef is also pretty good. Prices are a bit on the high side, but expected due to the high quality meats and ingredients they use here. Also in case this place is busy (since there is limited seating inside), you can always stop by the sister (or should i say the mother) restaurant, Mirchi Cafe which is literally a few doors down the same strip mall. The original Mirchi’s is great too, but the deli is the next generation of the Mirchi brand which serves both high-end coffee, fresh juices as well as the deli sandwiches as mentioned earlier.
Hours: 10am to 8pm everyday. Sundays they close at 6pm.
