Before every paranormal investigation I pray. Before going into a cemetery, whether for an investigation or to care for a loved one’s grave, I pray. Before going into a hospital or funeral home, I pray. It isn’t obvious, you can do it in your head, although I wouldn’t care if it was. But it can be said in your head or out loud, it is effective just the same.
I don’t believe there is a wrong or a right thing to say. Being raised Lutheran my prayers are often to what most refer to as God or the Lord. I ask for assistance and protection from the Archangels, especially Archangel Michael, my own guides and my loved ones on the Other Side. I typically will ask for the white light of God to surround me and protect me, and then saying a prayer of release when I’m leaving said establishments, making certain that nothing uninvited hitches a ride home.
Note that If you are not comfortable calling on God, you can ask for angels, Saints, or whatever/whomever resonates with your faith.
What is White Light? White light is strong protection from the Divine and acts like a brick wall, protecting you from lower and toxic energies. It is your spiritual sword.
Sample Prayers:
The Lord’s Prayer: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Prayer for Strength: We ask for strength from God and ask that Archangel Michael raise up his sword to defend us from all evil and negativity, protecting us from all evil and negativity. We ask for the white light to surround us with love. We ask that all negative energies and lost souls be taken into the light and freed according to God’s Will, and that we are blessed as we do your work with love and ethics. May your will be done. Amen.
Circle of White Light: I ask that God, my Archangels, Guides and past loved ones surround me with a perfect and holy white light and that it protects me throughout my journey today. I ask that only positive and high vibrational energies is allowed through and that everything I say and do is with unconditional love and peace. Surround my friends and family in the circle of protection, if it be there will. In His name I pray – Amen.
Release: I ask that God, the Archangels and my Guides remove and release any and all toxic, negative, or unhealthy energy that may be attached. I ask that you cut the cords and that they nevermore return. I ask that all negative attachments, influences, and dark energies be removed from my body and all my properties. Fill up every cell in my body, mind and spirit with the highest of white lights so I can share love and peace. Amen.
It can be dangerous to go into a location without the right tools, that includes protection of your own true self.
